GODSTONE PARK

This was the first project that I worked in Toronto as part of Forest and Field Landscape Architecture (FFLA) team.
​
"In 2018, FFLA completed a fresh new playground for Don Valley Village in north east Toronto. Surrounded by a neighbourhood full of children and families, the consultation had to give them a strong role in what went into the new playground. So, that’s what we did. On a beautiful summer day, we held the community meeting where kids coloured in the play equipment in the colours they wanted. That is what you see built today, along with updated circulation routes OADA compliance; selected updated play equipment; new benches and a new covered pavilion for picnics and gatherings. Drainage issues were addressed with the addition of a soakaway pit around the play area connected to the nearby catchbasin. A culvert under the new pathway allows an existing swale to continue to channel water also to the catchbasin. This new outdoor space is seeing a lot more use"

Blessed Sacrament​

The new playgorund for Blessed Sacrament Catholic Shool was design and building process was made on record time: 3 months.
​
This is the result of a Crowfounding effort made by the school staff and community, with the support of the Toronto Catholic District School Board (TCDSB), the Design Team and the Contractor.
​
TCDSB requested to use the recycled rubber tiles with the school colour. It A new trees shade area with trench drain was included with new paving and line painting games. The playstructure was selected by the school board base on the community expectations.
